Silk & Cotton is the creative outlet of Christiane Love a textile artist, fashion designer and Mom to three amazing boys. Ms. Love started Silk & Cotton on the beautiful Hawaiian island of Kauai in 2016.
Christiane Love first learned to sew from her Mother and her Nana. At the age of 6 she was using a sewing machine to make her own stuffed animals. At the age of 10 she began altering sewing patterns. By the age of 16 she was drafting and draping her own fashions from scratch.
Ms Love has a BFA degree in Surface Design from Murray State University. While at University Ms. Love received a traditional art education which included drawing and painting as well as digital art. All of these disciplines combine to bring you clothes that are a perfect fit and beautifully decorated.
